Freight Broker acts as a median between a trucking company and a
shipper. The Broker will approach the shipper asking to help handle their
freight. This takes some of the workload off of the manufacturer's
shipping department. The shipper and broker will negotiate a rate for
each load, and the broker in turn hires a trucking company at a lower rate
to deliver the shipment. Freight sales as a broker is not as tough as it
seems. All shippers need help hauling their freight. Getting your foot in
the door and being professional will equal success as a Freight Broker.
